A possible association?"

"Though there is a lack of literature linking pudendal neuralgia and connective tissue or
collag
en disease, Stoler and Oaklander discussed the association of EDS and
complex regional pain syndrome in a case series.

They hypothesized that EDS may contribute to development of chronic pain via stretch injury
tonerves across hypermobile joints and increased nerve connective tissue fragility."

Ehlers-Danlos syndrome is a group of disorders that mostly affect your skin, joints, and blood vessels. People with EDS often have very flexible joints and stretchy skin that bruises easily. Connective tissue is one of your body's basic building blocks. 2

Complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) is a term for ongoing, intense pain and inflammation after an injury or medical event, like surgery. Although it can affect any part of your body, it's most likely to happen in one of your hands. It's also common to get CRPS in an arm, leg, or foot. 3
